The small family winery Dominio del Águila in Ribera del Duero is run by vigneron Jorje Monzón who worked at wineries including Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in France and the Vega Sicilia Group in Spain. His elegant, restrained and extremely terroir expressive wines are shaking up the way Ribera del Duero’s wines are seen.
The stunning sparkling wines from Gramona are made by a family of grape growers and winemakers who trace their history back to 1850. Considered pioneers for their work in the cellar and for releasing sparkling wines only after extended aging, Gramona now farms their estate organically and biodynamically.
Albariño from Pazo de Señorans is a staff and customer favorite - bottled early each year following the harvest, it is an example of the fresh, crisp, and vibrant style that has defined Rias-Baixas. One vineyard site, Los Bancales, planted with some of the oldest vines on the estate, now over 45 years old, is kept in tank on its lees for a full 30 months. Aged in bottle for at least an additional year, it is released under the name Selección de Añada, which will also be poured. This wine was originally an experimental cuvée for the family to enjoy and proves the age-worthiness of Albariño.
Terroir al Límit has long stood at the forefront of the movement redefining Priorat. The estate has shifted the region’s style from dense, oak-driven power toward a model built on finesse, transparency, and an almost ascetic respect for terroir. This evolution is most vividly captured in the winery’s principal bottlings, from the regional Terroir Històric wines to the village and single-vineyard expressions that have become benchmarks of Mediterranean fine wine.
Domaine des Bosquets has deep historical roots in Gigondas. Josh Raynolds of Vinous wrote, “Since Julien Brechet took control of his family’s 26-hectare estate in 2006, Domaine des Bosquets has been moving steadily, if not swiftly, up the Gigondas hierarchy, and in 2016 they produced not only some of the best wines of the appellation but of the entire southern Rhône.”
Neal Martin of Vinous describes Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin as “one of the leading producers in Chablis,” and attendees will be able to sample their 2023 release!
